I travel monthly between the US and Europe, which is one reason I bought a Droid - it can be unlocked and so I can switch my local SIM card (and phone number) in each country.
I'm finding it frustrating, however, that the Legend doesn't seem to recognize the difference between a phone number with or without international dialing prefixes. It sees them as the same number, which seems smart - except that it seems to interchange them randomly. The result is that I end up having to dial all my numbers, every time, because it never seems to know what I want. So frustrating for such a smart phone!
Examples: If I'm in the US and my husband texts me from the UK and I hit "reply" - the phone will read the text as being from my husband, but not that he sent it from abroad. It may or may not reply back with the international prefixes (usually not). I tried saving my contacts 2 ways, like "dad US" and "dad UK", but then it treats it like a redundant contact and still might not chose the right one. It just interchanges them.
Is this making any sense? SO how do I organize my numbers to make this darn super-phone convenient? Thanks!
