I'm new to this Android business. I purchased my First Android device (a Hero) just a few weeks ago and spent 2 weeks with it before giving it to my missus (it was purchased for her).

Now I miss it.

So, I wanna get one for myself, however I dunno if it is value getting a Legend?

I was happy with the Hero, and I assume when it will get up to date to 2.1 (hers is an Aussie one and we're nonetheless ready) that it will simply get better.

The main the reason why I am not contemplating the Want is purely cos of measurement and battery life. I'm sick of getting phones that final me a day, however those previous couple of hours I've to be very careful with. The hero would final me the entire day plus some. I may play robo defence for hours and not have to worry about discovering a cost level, in contrast to my Nokia N900 the place if I even simply install an app, I have to fret about charging it up.

I've heard the Legend doesn't have as good battery life, however that is okay, cos I was planning on getting a Mugen energy battery. I've by no means considered getting one earlier than, but they appear to have one for the Legend that DOESN'T require an extra giant battery cover. Awesome!

I've also heard about wireless issues with the Legend? This concerns me, as I tend to have my telephones linked to wireless for a lot of the day continually checking emails.

So, I'm simply looking for user evaluations on the differences between the Hero and the Legend. Not what's written on paper, simply things that ppl may have seen after they switched between the telephones that affected the expertise of utilizing these telephones in actual life.

Cheers.

Never had a Hero, but my Legend runs roughly 48h when WiFi is turned off and 30h with WiFi turned on.

The phone is quite new, so this may even increase a little, especially since one tends to play less with it after a few weeks. The day ScummVM comes out for Android 2.1, however, will be a bad day for battery life of my device. Wink

WiFi connectivity is good enough for me, though far from being as good as on an average lap top. I turned it of nevertheless, because UMTS/HSDPA reception is good enough throughout the house, and it's flat rated.

All in all I like the phone very much, and gladly recommend it to anyone not wanting (or not getting) an iPhone.

I haven't had the Hero but from what I've read, the Legend outperforms the Hero in everything.

I still have my Hero, but I am now using it anymore.  I love both of them... Smiley

Overall .. the Legend outperforms the Hero in every area.  The Hero is little better only battery life, and signal reception (WIFI ad GSM)  Again .. the Hero is little better, maybe 5-10% better.  if I had to choose, I will select Legend.

yea, a  friend of mine had it for around 2 months, later he got sick of tripping home screen and poor battery life.  And later bought hero, which on the contrary served beautifully wel. I saw him blossoming everyday, here I would mention he is a total maniac when it comes to his baby gadgets and other devices. Crazy he is.  However, I have witnessed many selling their legend but the price they receive is shameful. Lolz. Poor them
