No root required, works fantastic.

-Download and install hi-res version.
-Goto keyboard settings and enable HTC_IME.
-Long press on any text entry, select imput method and then select HTC_IME as default.

I can't find the app. What do I search for and is it free?

I don't know what a 'Root' is or what HTC-IME is.
Also, what does voice to text do?  Like I said earlier in my introduction, I'm a complete olde age novice at this modern stuff. Roll Eyes

I followed the instructions for the download and making it my default input method, but it didnt work for me, and worse, it affected some of my touch functions like 2 finger swipe to enlarge. This was the same with both V22 and the latest modification, which is I think V27. Not sure what to do now, except to try and get some support from HTC Support Centre.

I thought it would be pretty nifty to do voice inputs.
